A MAN accused of a violent Tamworth murder that triggered a rooftop standoff with police will have to wait behind bars while his new defence counsel reviews the case.
Peter Douglas Nielsen remains in custody, bail refused on a lone charge of murder, accused of killing Richard Victor Garland on February 22 in South Tamworth.
Nielsen did not appear in Tamworth Local Court on Wednesday, October 15, when his murder charge was listed before the court.
The matter had been adjourned since August for the Crown and defence to meet at a case conference to discuss the issues in the case.
But the court was told on Wednesday it had yet to happen.
