Gov. Jared Polis announced board and commission appointments this week, and a handful of Western Slope residents are among the appointed.

David Goe, the community engagement manager with Downtown Grand Junction, was appointed, occasioned by a resignation, to the Council of Creative Industries. The Council on Creative Industries promotes and supports Colorado’s creative economy by providing funding, resources, and programs for artists, arts organizations, and creative businesses, as well as fostering community development through the arts.

Goe will serve on the Council of Creative Industries through July 1, 2026.

Logan McDaneld, a Grand Junction vascular neurologist, was appointed to the Stroke Advisory Board, which evaluates potential strategies for stroke prevention and treatment, and
