Middlesbrough's injury hit defence faces its biggest test so far against resurgent Ipswich Town.

The major threat comes, not from Chuba Akpom, but from Jaden Philogene, who has scored five goals already in the Championship. This includes a hat trick against Sheffield United. Philogene, a £20m signing from Aston Villa last January, is essentially a wide player, but he can play through the middle too.

He’ll be roving around and keeping the Boro lads on their toes when Ipswich are in possession. Considering that Ipswich also have Sammy Szmodics in their ranks, they pose a considerable threat in the Championship again now that they are beginning to get their campaign into gear with a run of five unbeaten games.
