Kurram, Oct 15: Tensions flared once again along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border on Tuesday night, as Pakistani security forces clashed with Afghan Taliban fighters in Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to reports.

State-run Pakistani media claimed that Afghan forces fired first without provocation, prompting Pakistani troops to retaliate. The exchange reportedly damaged several Afghan tanks and posts. Two Pakistani security officials confirmed the incident to the Associated Press.
