CHARLEVOIX — It’s been a tough seven weeks waiting for this one to come around.

But, the anticipation of the annual Charlevoix vs. Boyne City football rivalry and success both teams have enjoyed on the field this season has only heightened its Week 8 arrival.

Few rivalries in northern Michigan area greater than this one and Friday, Oct. 17 in Charlevoix should bring another great matchup between the Ramblers and Rayders.

Charlevoix will head in at 7-0 and conference champions of the Leaders Division of the NMFC. Boyne City, with a more challenging schedule so far, will enter at 5-2, losses only against state-ranked Kingsley and Traverse City St. Francis.

Though they’re both comfortably heading to the postseason, this one still carries weight for the playoffs.
