A heated confrontation broke out in Gwalior between senior Madhya Pradesh High Court lawyer Anil Mishra and Chief Superintendent of Police Hina Khan over a Ramayan recital at a Hanuman temple amid ongoing prohibitory orders. When Mishra and his supporters accused her of being anti-Sanatan Dharma, Khan’s loud chants of “Jai Shri Ram” left the crowd stunned.

The dispute erupted after Mishra and his supporters brought a tent for the recital. But police personnel, under Khan’s supervision, returned the tent materials and did not allow the programme to proceed.

Mishra and his supporters responded by gathering on the street, starting a sit-in protest, while raising slogans against the police and administration for their decision to lock the temple in view of the prohibitory orders.
