Multiple members of the Bloomington High School North staff have had their positions altered, impacting the daily routine of the 2025-26 school year that began about two months ago. Some staff have been transferred to other schools in the school district; other part-time and full-time positions have been eliminated. Changes in many teachers' schedules and course offerings for students have happened.
The changes are largely the result of the Monroe County Community School board dealing with funding reductions for the school corporation after Indiana Senate Enrolled Act 1 (SEA 1) began in April. The massive tax relief bill is expected to lower MCCSC's budget by $17 million due to lost property tax revenue over the next three years.
