After a thrilling and tumultuous regular season and all-too-brief postseason run, it’s Red Sox Report Card Week.

While the club led the majors in errors this season, the outfielders were not only significantly cleaner than the infielders, but the best in baseball by two of the most important metrics: Defensive Runs Saved and Outs Above Average. Boston’s outfielders led the majors with a combined 52 DRS, at least 16 more than any other major league club, and 32 OAA, 13 ahead of the second-best Chicago Cubs.
