ATLANTIC CITY — Democratic incumbent Mayor Marty Small Sr. and Republican Naeem Khan disagreed on almost everything Tuesday night during an hourlong debate at Stockton University.
However, both men found one topic they partially saw eye to eye on.
Small, 51, and Khan, 41, agreed there needs to be a cap on the number of marijuana dispensaries in the resort.
“I took a chance on marijuana because if I would’ve said no, people would’ve had to wait five years,” Small said. “Do we have too many dispensaries? Absolutely. However, I told City Council and CRDA that we aren’t going to prevent people from living the American dream and cut them off at the local level. But we want to put a cap on it, and the ones that are there will be there."
