WISCONSIN RAPIDS − After working 16 years as a prosecutor, Elizabeth Gebert announced Oct. 8 that she plans to run in the April 7, 2026, election for the Wood County Branch 3 Circuit Court judge position.
Gebert is the second person to announce she's planning to run for the Branch 3 seat. Emily Nolan-Plutchak, who was appointed to the Branch 3 position upon the retirement of former Judge Todd Wolf, announced her intention to run for the upcoming six-year term earlier on Oct. 8.
Gebert, formerly known as Elizabeth Constable, is the former Langlade County district attorney and has worked as an assistant district attorney in Marathon, Portage, Wood, Brown and Dane counties, according to her candidacy announcement.
