The Music Hall sets a dangerous precedent

I am deeply troubled by The Portsmouth Music Hall's decision to cancel the Lovering Health Center's annual fundraising event just six days before it was scheduled to take place. This unilateral decision by the CEO, made without Board consultation, was prompted by a single individual threatening to protest.

The Lovering Health Center provides essential reproductive care, contraceptive education, hormonal support, and vasectomy services to our community. This last-minute cancellation doesn't just damage one organization—it sets a dangerous precedent that any voice can be silenced by one person's objection.
