New Delhi: Pakistan produced a brilliant fightback to beat WTC champions South Africa by 93 runs in the first match of the two-game series in Lahore on Wednesday. The Proteas had to complete a tough chase of 277 runs at the Gaddafi stadium after they bowled out the hosts for 167 runs in the second innings.
Opening batter Ryan Rickelton scored a watchful 45 runs off 145 balls as the Proteas struggles to carry out the partnerships together. Dewald Brevis was another notable contributor in the innings hammering 54 runs of as many balls but the chief architect of the Pakistani bolwing attack Noman Ali didn’t let that happen denying the Proteas a win in the game.
In his 28 overs, Ali picked up four wickets giving away just 79 runs while Shaheen Shah Afridi also scalped as many wickets to des
