WHITE BLUFF, Tenn. (WKRN) — Farming isn't easy, especially when you decide to grow something new. One Dickson County farmer gave up raising goats for growing flowers.
"This is our rudbeckia — it's one of my favorite flowers here," explained Chris Christy, owner of The Farm at Westview.
Chris Christy has lived on the land his entire life, but growing flowers on that land is entirely new for him.
"Want to have something that our community can enjoy and that we can enjoy as a family," said Christy.
When Christy's dad, Larry Christy, passed away a few years ago, the family decided to turn his farmland into something special, and a flower farm seemed fitting.
"And then you can walk right in. Help yourself," said Christy while walking to his flower beds.
