More than 2000 South Australian public sector workers gathered outside Parliament House today, demanding a 20 per cent pay increase over 18 months.

The workers, represented by one of the state's largest unions, the Public Service Association, is seeking improved remuneration amidst rising cost-of-living pressures.

The demonstration included prison officers, sheriffs, pathology workers, Service SA employees, and TAFE administration staff.

Protesters carried signs critical of the state government's spending priorities, referencing its commitment to LIV Golf and football.
