A family member of one of the children struck by a vehicle trailer in Dumfries as revealed the shocking extent of their injuries. ‌

The horrific incident occurred when a loose trailer flew off the road and struck a pram on pavement on Monday afternoon. ‌

An eight month old baby and 14 and 18-month-old toddlers were inside the buggy being pushed by a young nursery worker. ‌

The children and 18-year-old female nursery employee were all rushed to hospital.

A relative of one of the injured children shared on social media that his grandson suffered serious injuries.

He said: "My grandson was in the accident. He's in hospital in Glasgow. ‌

"His injuries are serious. He suffered a broken leg, bad lacerations to his face and a tear in his spleen.
