**Mercedes Confirms Russell and Antonelli for 2026 F1 Season** Mercedes has officially announced that George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli will remain as the team's driver line-up for the 2026 Formula 1 season. Russell, 27, has been with Mercedes since the beginning of the 2022 season after transferring from Williams. Currently, he is fourth in the drivers' standings, aiming to achieve his joint-highest finish as six races remain in the season.

Antonelli, 19, is having a remarkable first full season in F1. He stepped in as the second driver for Mercedes at the start of the season, following Lewis Hamilton's move to Ferrari on a lucrative contract. As the United States Grand Prix approaches, Antonelli sits in seventh place in the drivers' standings.

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff commented on the announcement, stating, "Confirming our driver line-up was always just a matter of when, not if. We wanted to take our time, handle the negotiations properly and make sure everyone, on all sides, was happy. I'm pleased we have done that."

Wolff expressed confidence in the duo, saying, "George and Kimi have proved a strong pairing and we're excited to continue our journey together. Our focus is now on the final six races of the year, as we fight for second in the Constructors', and onwards to 2026 and a new era in F1."

Fans can expect ongoing updates, including pictures and videos, as the season progresses and the team prepares for the upcoming races.
