Bhopal: A ferocious fire ripped through a warehouse near Bhopal’s Karond Galla Mandi early Wednesday morning, sending thick columns of smoke billowing across the area. The massive blaze originated in a storage facility holding valuable makhana (fox nut) stock.

Upon receiving the alarm, fire brigade teams swiftly mobilised, with nearly six fire tenders deploying to the scene. Firefighters are locked in a persistent battle to bring the devastating inferno under control.

The incident has caused widespread alarm among local traders, who report substantial damage to the stored goods. While the exact financial loss from the destroyed makhana stock remains unknown, it is feared to be significant.
