BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio

Underage consumption, Mill Road: On Sept. 18, police were notified about a suspicious social media post that showed what appeared to be a Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School student pouring liquor into a cup while in the Mill Road parking lot.

An arriving officer talked to the student in question who not only had flushed cheeks but also smelled like booze.

The teenager stressed she hadn’t consumed alcohol but only posted the post after a friend told her to.

That’s when the student changed her tune, admitting she may have “tried some” of what may have been vodka.

At that point, the student’s friend, who also had been drinking, was brought to the officer.

She became emotional, saying she was experiencing difficulties due to bullying and personal struggles
