Multiple charges have been laid, after Quinte West OPP began an impaired driving investigation on Sunday. Around 1:00 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle for speeding and they believed the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol and cannabis. After screening and testing, 23-year-old Cameron Kimmet from Trenton was charged.

Speeding 1 – 49km over posted limit

Fail to notify change of address

Possession of over 30g dried cannabis (or equivalent) in public place

Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available

Drive motor vehicle with liquor readily available

The vehicle was also impounded and Kimmet’s license was suspended.
