Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday reminded the voters of Bihar of the “dark days of law and order in the state” and said the state could not again risk electing a government that fanned Naxalism.
In a dig at the erstwhile rule of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in the state, the Prime Minister, in his first interaction with booth workers in virtual mode today, said the youth of Bihar needed to be acclimatised with the “jungle raj” that once prevailed in the state.
His reference was to the RJD chief Lalu Yadav-led government in the state between 1990 and 2005.
“Those were the days when people could not venture out of homes. Today Bihar is free of the reign of goons. But the state has seen times when its vast swathes were Naxalism-affected and Naxals would destroy rail track, loot
