The Town of Blackfalds is hosting advance voting for the upcoming municipal election, giving residents the chance to cast their ballots early.

Advance polls will be open at the Eagle Builders Centre Banquet Room (5302 Broadway Ave) today (October 15) from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and again on Saturday (October 18) from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

All positions on council, including Mayor and Councilor, are elected at-large, meaning each elected official represents the entire Town rather than a specific ward.

Voting is centralized at one location for all positions.

To vote in Blackfalds, residents must be; • At least 18 years old • A Canadian citizen • A resident of the Town of Blackfalds

Election Day is October 20 with voting running from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Blackfalds Com
