Apple's new iPad Pro is here, and it's one of the first devices to get the company's new M5 chip.

The new chip is significantly more powerful in the context of AI workloads; Apple says the new iPad Pro has 3.5x the AI performance of its predecessor.

The M5 chip, which has up to 10 CPU cores, 10 GPU cores, and 16 Neural Engine cores, also boosts CPU and graphics performance. Apple says the new iPad Pro has four times the graphics performance compared to the iPad Pro with the M4 chip.

Other improvements include more RAM (up to 12GB of unified memory), faster memory bandwidth, 2x faster storage read and write speeds, and faster charging. The new iPad Pro is available in black and silver. Credit: Apple
