(WJW) — Heads up! Muckleheads, also known as Midges, are back in northeast Ohio.
The pesky insects typically hatch out of Lake Erie in the late spring but can also occur in the early fall, too.
And, Wednesday morning, FOX 8 viewers were quick to message us that "they arrived!"
You may (or may not) want to turn up the volume for the video below, where a large swarm of midges can be heard buzzing in the sky of Fairport Harbor.
"The noise they make is insane!!!" wrote Coleen Moskowitz, who shared the video.
Another viewer, also shared a video showing the large bugs flying around in North Madison early Wednesday.
The good news: the bugs don't bite and their invasion typically doesn't last long!
