A transgender postal worker has secured victory at tribunal against Royal Mail following claims of 'harassment' and 'discrimination' from workmates.

Sophie Cole, 46, began living as a transgender woman in 2016 after spending the majority of her life believing she had been born in the wrong body.

She maintains she abandoned a senior financial position to join Royal Mail, believing such a substantial organisation would provide her with a 'safe space'.

However, following 'transphobic' mistreatment and 'harassment' concerning her gender from two different workmates, she filed a complaint with management claiming she was experiencing 'bullying'.

The incidents included being targeted, offensive name-calling, unwanted touching, physical assault and having her vehicle spat on.
