(NEXSTAR) — More than a month after a record-setting $1.79 billion Powerball jackpot was won by two tickets, another massive lottery jackpot is building.

No ticket matched the winning numbers — 12, 22, 49, 57 and 58, plus the gold Mega Ball 19 — drawn Tuesday, giving way for the Mega Millions jackpot to grow to an estimated $625 million ahead of Friday's drawing.

With a cash value of $288.8 million, the current jackpot ranks as the 11th largest in the game's history and the largest since a $1.27 billion prize was won by a ticket sold in California. It's also the largest Mega Millions jackpot since the game was overhauled earlier this year.

To crack into the top 10, the jackpot needs to grow by about $23 million before Friday night's drawing: • $1.602 billion: Aug. 8, 2023; Florida •
