DICK’S opened two new House of Sport and four new DICK'S Field House locations around the country in the first quarter of 2025.

Dick’s House of Sport will open a 100,000-square-foot store and activity venue in Glendale, Arizona, Friday and will host a variety of grand opening celebrations featuring giveaways and athlete appearances over the weekend.

The location will include a traditional sporting goods store, along with other experiences including golf hitting bays, a climbing wall and sports cages for baseball, softball, lacrosse and soccer. The store is near the Arizona Cardinals football stadium.

The national retailer has already debuted the concept in several other states. The Glendale location will be the first in Arizona, but another location is planned in Gilbert, a suburb on the other side of town.

The Glendale store will host a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday with giveaways including gift cards, a free Stanley Quencher for the first 300 guests, a soccer ball to the first 100 kids and other deals and sweepstakes.

Over the weekend, the store will host signing events with local professional athletes. Phoenix Suns guard Jalen Green will have a meet and greet Saturday, and Arizona Diamondbacks Outfielder Corbin Carroll will appear Sunday.

Both events will have a limited number of wristbands, distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Wristbands are required to meet the athletes. Each athlete will sign cards provided by Dick’s, no outside items will be allowed for signatures.
