Tre Hickem’s connection to community service started when he grew up in the local boys and girls club, then deepened as a player at Scottsdale Saguaro from 2011-2013.
He came back as an assistant coach at its alma mater. Then, when Mountain Ridge hired former Saguaro assistant Andy Johnson in the summer of 2024, Hickem joined his staff and started setting up new connections.
Hickem is also the program director at the Louis & Elizabeth Sands Branch of the Boys and Girls Club at 4730 W. Grovers Ave., Glendale. He also started taking Mountain Ridge football players to read to students at nearby Copper Creek Elementary School last fall.
