Lacombe residents have reason to celebrate as the town has been named one of eight finalist communities in SiriusXM Canada’s 2025 Music Town search.

The nationwide contest offers one lucky town the chance to host a live show by JUNO Award-winning band, The Beaches.

Out of more than 470 nominations and over 1,000 stories submitted from across Canada, Lacombe stood out and was the only Alberta community selected for the final round.

The nomination highlights the town’s vibrant spirit, strong sense of community, and love for live music.

Residents now have until October 24 to vote and help bring the concert to town.
