There are plenty of ways to make new friends on college campuses these days and over 100 Oakland University students, staff and professors got a chance to meet some new friends from a local farm last week.

OU brought in 15 goats from Chamberlin Pony Rides and Mobile Petting Zoo in Ann Arbor and hosted two sessions of “Goat Yoga” on campus.

Amy Thompson, executive vice president for academic affairs and provost, came up with the idea along with Glenn McIntosh, former senior vice president of student affairs and chief diversity officer. They contacted Becky Lewis, director university recreation and well being, and created the first time event.
