OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A 19-year-old charged in the shooting death of a 16-year-old last September in South Omaha will be sentenced in court Wednesday.
Emerson Olivorio-Marroqui, of Ralston, pleaded “no contest” in August court to an amended charge of manslaughter. A charge of first-degree murder was dropped in the plea.
He is scheduled to appear in court at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday and is facing up to 20 years in prison.
Olivorio-Marroqui was 18 at the time of the Sept. 12 murder of Wilson Garcia-Miranda, who was found shot to death in South Omaha near the area of 48th and Q Streets.
He was found nearby with a gunshot injury and was later arrested as the suspect .
