The finalists for this year’s Gold Glove awards were announced on Wednesday morning, and three Red Sox players will be among those up for consideration.
Catcher Carlos Narvaez and outfielders Ceddanne Rafaela and Wilyer Abreu are each one of three American League finalists at their respective positions. Abreu will be going for his second consecutive Gold Glove while Rafaela and Narvaez are seeking their first.

Rafaela is a finalist at center field and will be competing against Seattle’s Julio Rodriguez and Kansas City’s Kyle Isbel. Abreu is looking to repeat at right field against Texas’ Adolis Garcia and Houston’s Cam Smith, and Narvaez is facing Toronto’s Alejandro Kirk and Detroit’s Dillon Dingler among AL catchers.
