A distillery founded by a group of friends who share a passion for craft spirits is making its own mark on its small town.

Living Spirits Distillery specializes in small-batch handcrafted spirits that incorporate native herbs and botanicals from the Garden State. The owners produce vodkas, gins, brandies and liqueurs in Hackettstown. They ship across New Jersey.

Hackettstown Business Improvement District welcomed the craft distillery in September when Living Spirits Distillery held its grand opening.

The distillery is open Wednesday through Sunday. Hours of operation vary. The bar room at 300 Valentine St. features a private dining area and outdoor seating and yard games area. It hosts live music, on occasion.
