EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - Deputies said a stolen vehicle was recovered Sunday night in unincorporated El Paso County.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were alerted at 11:30 p.m. to a suspected stolen vehicle near B Street and South Academy.

Deputies found the vehicle traveling toward B Street from Hampton South. When deputies attempted a traffic stop on B Street, the vehicle quickly drove off in the wrong lane.

Deputies said they did not pursue the vehicle to ensure public safety.

A witness later reported a crash at B Street and Highway 85 at 11:44 p.m., stating a vehicle hit a barrier. Deputies arrived and found the suspect vehicle with no one inside.

Deputies searched the area and did not find any suspects. The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD)
