The North East’s biggest law firm says it has made significant progress on its strategy after posting a rise in revenues and profits.

Newcastle-based Womble Bond Dickinson UK LLP was formed when Bond Dickinson combined with US firm Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice eight years ago, to create a trans-Atlantic practice. The business moved around 400 employees from its former offices on Newcastle Quayside - now a Dakota Hotel - to new offices within The Spark at Newcastle Helix quarter three years ago, and has published accounts after a year which saw it move its accounting reference date.

The comparative figures included in accounts for the 2025 financial year cover 11 months, so are not entirely comparable, but the business highlighted growth, as well as much work to boost its environmental
