Shillong, Oct 15: Two persons including a member of an inter-state gang were arrested with suspected narcotics at Lumshnong in East Jaintia Hills district.

The operation was conducted by the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) on October 14 based oncredible information about suspected person travelling in a car from Silchar, Assam, suspected to be carrying illegal narcotics.

Acting promptly on this input, a team led by Umkiang Patrol Post set up naka and apprehended Abdul Rob Laskar alias Munna (22) from Kabuganj , Silchar, Kachar, Assam.

Later with the help of the ANTF, Meghalaya apprehended another habitual offender and co-accused Asif Wahlang of Hari Sabha Laban, Shillong.
