Despite an incredibly streaky season featuring high highs and low lows, the Giants could always rely on great defense from their Opening Day battery.

Catcher Patrick Bailey and starting pitcher Logan Webb were both named finalists for the Gold Glove at their respective positions, Rawlings announced on Wednesday morning.

Bailey, 26, won his first Gold Glove Award last year and has been nominated for the hardware three times in three seasons. He could become the first Giant to win a Gold Glove in back-to-back seasons since shortstop Brandon Crawford won three straight from 2015-17.

For Webb, 28, this is his first career nomination.
