Warren County commissioners have declared October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, recognizing the critical work of the Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Crisis Center (DASACC) of Warren County in supporting survivors throughout the community.
DASACC has served more than 1,900 people since the beginning of 2025, according to Executive Director Isela Arras. The organization provides support and advocacy for those affected by interpersonal violence while working to prevent future incidents.
“We’re ensuring no one goes through domestic violence alone,” Arras said.
The annual proclamation builds on the 1991 New Jersey Legislature’s findings that classified domestic violence as a serious crime against society.
