Police watchdog says a woman is dead after being shot by a Halifax RCMP officer

HALIFAX - Nova Scotia's Serious Incident Response Team says a woman is dead after a Halifax RCMP officer shot her in Eastern Passage.

The watchdog says the Mounties were responding to a report of a physical assault at a home in the community about 15 kilometres southeast of downtown Halifax Tuesday afternoon.
