A field day on “Promoting Ethnobotanical Wisdom of Millets” was organized at Rimrangpara village under Dalu block in West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya on Wednesday.

Dr. Sabyasachi Majumdar, Assistant Professor (Soil Science and Agril. Chemistry), MTTC&VTC, CCS, Tura, coordinated the program.

Dr. Majumdar indicated that “line sowing is a vital agricultural practice for millet cultivation because it ensures uniform plant growth, significantly increases yields, and reduces labour costs associated with weeding and harvesting.
