CLAYTON — A couple on Wednesday sued the Venezuelan woman who caused a wrong-way crash that killed the couple's 12-year-old boy in 2023 in Hazelwood.

Stephanie and Timothy Wolfe's wrongful death lawsuit against Endrina Bracho, 34, comes about two months after she was sentenced for the crash .

The lawsuit says her negligence and reckless behavior has caused the couple extreme physical and emotional pain.

Authorities said in December 2023 Bracho was driving in the wrong lane on Dunn Road at 75 mph when her vehicle collided with a Jeep carrying the Wolfe family. The speed limit on that road was 40 mph.

The Wolfes were seriously injured and their son, 12-year-old Travis Wolfe, was placed on life support. He died months later on March 6, 2024.
