The 49ers' boom box walkout has helped the team set the tone before every game over the past couple of seasons.
In recent years, it was led by Trent Williams and Deebo Samuel. As a first-year captain , Deommodore Lenoir has now worked his way to the front.
But there's been a new, somewhat unexpected face that's emerged to the forefront of the popular entrance: backup quarterback Mac Jones.
To Lenoir and the rest of the 49ers, they didn't have to think hard about whether Jones' presence was acceptable.
"Mac man, he got swag," Lenoir said Tuesday on KNBR's "Murph & Mac." "It was a no-brainer when he came up there. The way he's been leading us, he's a true leader. And he's been playing out of this world."
