CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Wisconsin man was sentenced for stabbing a woman inside a Logan Square laundromat in 2023, according to court documents.

The stabbing happened in October 2023 inside a Logan Square laundromat in the 2200-block of North Milwaukee Avenue, police said.

Luis Lira-Hernandez, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was charged with stabbing a 25-year-old woman, police said.

Police said the victim, stabbed in her chest and both legs, was taken to a hospital in critical condition at the time.

Lira-Hernandez was arrested in March 2024 in the same area where the stabbing happened.
