IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - The Sporting News recognized University of Iowa return specialist Kaden Wetjen with a new honor - midseason first-team All-American.
Wetjen is a senior on the Hawkeye football team from Williamsburg, and leads the nation in combined return yards for kickoffs with 236 yards, and punts with 286. That’s through the Hawks first six games this season. A news release from the University of Iowa touts those stats, saying he’s “No. 1 in the NCAA in punt returns (26.0), second in kickoff return touchdowns (1) and third in punt return touchdowns (1).”
