The Kingston community is mourning the loss of Tony Ketcheson, a man who tirelessly strived to help his community one meal at a time.

More commonly known as The Sammich Man On The Corner , Ketcheson, out of his own goodwill, would make lunch for those in need. Whether it was food out of his own pantry or donations, Ketcheson would get up early to prepare the meals before loading them up in his cooler that was attached to the back of his bicycle.

His sister, Sandra Vanalstyne, said helping feed people in need was one of his proudest accomplishments.

Still in shock following her brother’s passing, Vanalstyne remembered her sibling.

“Tony spent the first four hours of his day (up at 5 a.m.) cooking roast pork, chickens, turkeys, etcetera, depending on the sandwiches
