BOISE, Idaho — Construction has begun on a $20.9 million modernization project for the Ridenbaugh Diversion Dam, which supplies water to landowners throughout the Treasure Valley.

Crews broke ground Tuesday on the Ridenbaugh Diversion Dam Modernization Project, marking the start of a major infrastructure upgrade for the Ridenbaugh Canal system.

The project aims to improve worker safety, reduce water loss, and increase flexibility in managing changing water flows, according to Capital Projects Manager Greg Curtis.
