STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Police are investigating a report that a car was stolen in Westerleigh overnight into Wednesday morning.
A 33-year-old man told police that he parked his 2018 Jeep Cherokee at the curb on Levit Avenue near Devis Street around 11 p.m. on Tuesday, according to a spokesman for the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.
When the victim returned around 12:50 a.m. on Wednesday, the car was missing.
The car has not been recovered and the investigation continues, according to the spokesman.
No description is available for the suspect at this time, the spokesman said.
