Author Elin Hilderbrand recently published a new novel with her daughter.

And although Hilderbrand has written several storylines set on Nantucket , this new book, "The Academy," takes place in Western Massachusetts. While set in the Bay State, the book was inspired by Hilderbrand's daughter Shelby Cunningham's time at St. George's School in Middletown, Rhode Island.

And although the 432-page New England novel came out on Sept. 16, Hilderbrand is already hinting about a television adaptation. The plot revolves around an extravagant Massachusetts boarding school and its complicated teenage inhabitants.

This wouldn't be the first time one of Hilderbrand's stories made it to TV. Two of the author's other novels, "The Perfect Couple" and "The Five-Star Weekend," were both transformed
