It was another week of separation in the District 5-6A volleyball landscape. The teams in the top four of the standings all got wins over teams in the bottom-four. Even more so, all four matches were decided in three sets. The winning streaks atop the standings range from two for Marcus to now 20 matches in a row for Flower Mound. Coppell beat their 2024 mark with three matches to go and Marcus closed the door on Guyer’s playoff chances with a head-to-head sweep.

Flower Mound’s last defeat came almost two full months ago. Since, they had entered play 19 times and took away 19 victories. With Tuesday’s sweep over Braswell (25-15, 25-14, 25-18), that became 20 for 20. Since taking Hebron five sets, the Lady Jaguars have not dropped a set in four matches.
