The Bosch franchise is expanding further, but now without original leading star Titus Welliver for the first time in a decade. Welliver has been the face of Harry Bosch since Prime Video's Bosch series debuted in 2015, with the actor then memorably reprising the role for the three-season revival Bosch: Legacy and for a few episodes in Prime Video's 2025 spinoff Ballard .

Now, there's yet another Bosch show officially joining the TV slate. However, this time, it'll follow young LAPD rookie Harry Bosch in a 1991-set prequel series titled Bosch: Start of Watch . Unlike the other shows on Prime Video, the upcoming Bosch prequel will be released on MGM+, with a new actor taking on the titular role in a main capacity following Titus Welliver's long tenure.
