Jack-o-lanterns will once again illuminate the trail for visitors of Bruce Botanical Food Gardens (BBFG) in Ripley the day after Halloween.

“We had over 100 pumpkins last year and we hope to have that many again this year,” said Heather Newman, BBFG president, in an Oct. 15 email.

Following the success of the inaugural Jack-o-lantern Trail event, which saw 116 donated pumpkins line the paths of the gardens last year, BBFG and the Township of Huron-Kinloss are teaming up again to recreate the unique family-friendly experience that drew 90 participants to the site despite cold and rainy weather.

This year’s event is being held from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Nov. 1. Entry is by donation.
